bringing gifted people together

A large part of what we want to do, is to surround ourselves with talented people in fields within art, ceramics, sculpturing and design.

So our contributors - with expertise in fields outside furniture design - will get a platform and will add some stardust to our universe. We are also doing pop-up galleries etc., from time to time, mainly to bring the

We will also be very happy to do collaborations with upcoming furniture designers looking for sparring on designs and support to bring their works to market - in their own name. We have the factories, the warehouse, the logistics. So why not put those ressources to good use and get new and great talent brought into the light.

On collaborations furniture production we are of course looking for good chemistry and a likeminded design philosophy, focusing on renewability and longevity.

Majka Tkacikova

Ceramic Sculptures

Majka Tkáčiková (based in Barcelona, Spain) grew up in Slovakia in a calm rural environment that allowed her to develop a strong sensibility toward beauty, resulting in her deep interest in art. She explores ceramic sculpture as an extension of her own body in order to process her emotions. She's interested in a creative process that evolves within the wordless language of touch. Her sculptural works are organic, bodily forms that confront the viewer, asking to be touched, inviting a sensorial interaction through their shapes
She channels her internal affective processes creating anthropomorphic abstraction, like figures abstracted into a deeper sensation, as if taking the form of an internal, emotional truth. As hand-made bodies, they ground us, connecting us to an earthly, bodily sensation in opposition to the flatness of digital spaces. She allows the sculpture to evolve organically, to flow through her touch without a set plan, instead following an expression of a unique feeling with each one.

When exhibiting her work, it was always allowed to touch them. She observed the playfulness, joy, and curiosity of the public crossing the invisible boundaries set in conventional gallery spaces which motivated her to explore further the idea. Majka creates objects designed to hold human contact and hug, a space where the visitor is invited to feel and lean on the sculpture in a case of necessity.

Eventually, she would like to bring these carefully designed sculptures, which Majka believes can deepen levels of human and emotional experience, into the public space.
